Chiao Fu Material Technology develops biodegradable mulch film, we cooperate with Agriculture Technology Research Institute and local city unit to accomplish strawberry、watermelon and tomato filed, to confirm product result which is able to replace traditional mulch film, as well as after using then turn into soil, the mulch film will be fully biodegradable. Another benefit is for farmers can reduce the cost of human resource to collect film, and do not need to burn film after collection. it is more advantage than traditional mulch film. By the implementation of the agricultural science technology project, Chiao Fu Material Technology across agriculture products to develop together with Taiwan Agriculture Research Institute Council of Agriculture、Plastics Industry Development Center and National Chung-Shan Institute of Science & Technology. To use agriculture trash such as Brewery spent grain for material based, and integrate with Polylactic acid and unique strain to develop biodegradable mulch film, this kind of material character by compost environment to degrade to CO2 and H2O.

Biodegradable mulch film already accomplished twice times of trail report for strawberry、watermelon、tomato in warm room filed , design of filed area、crop growth investigation and crop volume, total three trial items.
During trial process to divide three kind of mulch film, first one is with traditional film, second one is with biodegradable mulch film (without unique strain), last one is with biodegradable mulch film (with unique strain). According to first time trail of watermelon to know there is no different between PE mulch film and biodegradable film, for plant method is all the same for three kind of film, and for blight processing also no difference. Therefore, our RD unit try to adjust formula to increase mulch film MD/ TD strength, the result we can find out the crop volume is no less than traditional PE mulch, moreover it’s more eco-friendlier for filed.
