You can easily eat, drink, play and have fun in Taipei

Is this your first time to Taipei? Don’t you worry about anything but having a blast. You can easily eat, drink, have fun playing around in Taipei. Taipei has several featured shopping areas with different subjects.

You can taste delicious beef noodle, steamed rounded dumpling, and shaved ice with mango near YongKang Street, MRT DongMen station. In WuFenPu, cheap but beautiful dress and adornment are everywhere in the big block. There are authentic Taiwanese temples as well. Go up into Taipei 101, some of the globally renowned brand shops have opened their wings there for anyone to shopping, or to window shopping. However, there is a TongHuaJie night market nearby 101 for you to buy ten Taiwanese dollars each souvenir, too.

If you were a history lover, you shouldn’t miss National Palace Museum in WaiShuangXi area. It’s like that you must visit Louvre Museum in Paris, or Cristo Rendentor in Rio. It’s a must in Taipei. If performance art is your favorite, please take MRT Blue line, to alight at XImen station and exit from No. 6, where you would find street performers every night. Sometimes there is a beautiful lady playing harp, or some energetic young men rolling on the ground performing street dance.

Maybe doing exercise to relax body and mind is a good idea, you can just bring your towel and sneakers along to sweat in any district public sports center. There are treadmills, dumb bells, weightlifting bars and plates etc. Otherwise, you can swim, having Turkish steam bath, or to have a sauna heat wave massage there. In Beitou and Wulai, to bath in hot spring is very popular. Usually, after hot spring bath, people would buy some fruit nearby to supply lost body water.

Ok, maybe stinky tofu in not an option. Why not go to MRT Ximen station and to take a walk to ChengDu Road, there is a red brick three-floors-high dark building. That is Redfloor (HongLou) Theater. Go to its left side, right behind it, you can find lots of foreigners drinking beer, eating pizza or fried chicken on cozy chairs, chatting with friends from different countries. It is a brand new secret garden for visitors all around the world in Taipei. Have fun there when night is coming.

As to souvenir taking back home, Taipei has lots of tea leaves shops where good quality tea leaves are on sale. But most welcome gift voted by visitors on the internet is pineapple cake, it is also on sale in almost all featured shopping area.
