KEN: The expert in high speed 5-axis machining center

The main focus of KEN at TIMTOS 2019 is in promoting the third generation (Compact B series) gantry type high speed five-axis machining center. The main features are consisted of three improved key elements: rigidity, precision, and efficiency. These features are mainly for improving the overall performance of the third generation Compact B gantry type high speed 5-axis machine center. Through the following design, the machine is aimed to achieve ever-faster and more stable performance. First, the X/Y axis linear motor drive increases stability in machining. Secondly, the gantry type five-axis machining center has a one piece design in column and base – which improves stability and rigidity ; third, the box in box symmetrical design reduced the effect brought about by temperature changes, where accuracy is improved. In addition, by equipped with German linear motor drive and makes the components free of wear and increase accuracy as well as the life span of key components. In addition, KEN develops 2-axis milling head with their Italy partners, which is the core mechanism for 5-axis machining center to perform in high quality.

Speaking of the goal in the year 2020, General Manager Luke Chang shared that KEN has set the production target to reach100 units. If this target is reached, then KEN has a very high opportunity in becoming the world's top five five-axis machine tool supplier. Apart from technology being the foundation for expanding production capacity and business scale for KEN, recently the company will enhance the field of customer service. They have established customer support centers in China, where the service team is capable for maintenance and fixing. In addition, KEN has the ability to manufacture and fix direct-drive motor 2 axis milling head, which is rare for Asian 5-axis manufacturer. This would be extremely helpful in reducing the limits of time and distance between European 2-axis milling head provider and Asian clients.
