Global Integrated Solution & Rapid Support Services
The global manufacturing industry is now facing decline in workforce and shortage of senior operators, causing increasingly serious problems. On the other hand, responding to the diverse needs of customers and meeting the goal of various small productions are also becoming tough to handle.
As a well-known manufacturer of machine tools, Yamazaki Mazak has set up factories and production lines overseas for years. It has laid out factories and produced products close to its international customers to meet the different requirements of the global market.
Mazak is committed itself to developing original products, providing customers with comprehensive solutions and rapid support services. Now, Mazak has established technical service centers and technical maintenance centers in 83 places around the world.
MAZAK's Mission as a Machine Tool Maker: To Contribute To the Industry
Mazak is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2019. Since its inception, Mazak has taken the lead in expanding production service bases around the world to advance globally. It continues to provide high-quality products and technologies through its bases and contributes its innovative technologies to customers worldwide. Nowadays, the world manufacturing industry is facing various problems including lack of manpower and so on. Mazak uses advanced technologies, such as IoT and AI to accelerate the development of new products and services, providing customers with solutions that promote automation and smarter production sites.
R&D Focus Shifted to: AI / Digital Twin
The global supply chain now goes with the trend of smart manufacturing. Mazak has also shifted its research and development focus to adopting the most advanced technologies, such as AI, Digital Twin, and automation to develop an overall improvement in processing and production: new efficiency controller "MAZATROL SmoothAi" and its corresponding software "MAZATROL TWINS".
MAZATROL SmoothAi uses AI technology to program and automatically compensate for processing conditions. In addition, it can further enhance the latest CNC controllers for automation support. MAZATROL TWINS can simulate the machine (digital twin) in the factory on the PCs in the office, and fully synchronize the tool data and various parameters of the machines in the production site. It can output high-precision machining settings (digital settings) by the virtual models created by computers. Through the digital settings of MAZATROL TWINS and the AI / automation function of MAZATROL SmoothAi, Mazak expects to significantly reduce the production time, while reducing labor costs.

Mazak’s TIMTOS2020 Highlights: All Kinds of Intelligent Processing Machines & Comprehensive Solutions
At TIMTOS2021, Mazak will highlight simultaneous 5-axis machining machine that can improve the compatibility of various automation systems: MAZAK VARIAXIS C-600. The design of this machine adopts the automatic system structure of a multi-joint robotic arm and an automatic valve equipped for loading and unloading workpieces. The manufacturing production line requires precise workspace. In order to ensure that the robot arm has sufficient moving space, the internal structure of this machine has designed less work space needed. Compared with traditional machine tools, the new robot arm has more flexibility and efficiency.
