LCM: Driving the future of sheet metal manufacturing

Register Now for Virtual + Physical Trade Show, TIMTOS 2021 Hybrid

Metal forming has been a critical technology in the history of industrial advancement, from reforming shapes of different materials to processing workpieces. The technology has allowed a variety of manufacturing advances across industries. Lien Chieh Machinery (LCM) is one of the leading hydraulic press manufacturers in Taiwan, proudly celebrating its 75th anniversary.

Servo Mechanical Tandem Line wins the tide

LCM is the first to develop servo mechanical tandem line (2400-1000 ton) in Taiwan. The servo mechanical tandem line integrates the strengths of mechanical presses and hydraulic presses – allowing producers to enjoy the speed from mechanical presses and energy efficiency from the servo-hydraulic presses.

The innovative servo mechanical tandem line has the ability to simulate productions under different circumstances, which fundamentally helped manufacturers in achieving greater efficiency, versatility and precision. It broadens the potentiality for producers in receiving more contracts, as the production line can fulfill requests of machining different sizes, shapes and applications.

Thus, at its 75th anniversary, LCM keeps enhancing its servo mechanical tandem lines to respond to the changing nature of manufacturing, and the surge of demand in high-tech products. Intelligent manufacturing requires smart equipment to reach top results. The servo mechanical tandem line can increase the SPM from 18- 20 to 30-40 times thanks to its highly automated system, and increase in productivity. In addition, the new line drastically cuts over 30% electricity consumption compared to traditional presses. These cutting-edge features, LCM had developed over the past 75 years are consistent to the advancement and continued development. These actions show the society that press manufacturers can achieve zero-pollution, and be entirely eco-friendly.

LCM links the globe

LCM aims is to widely set up global service centers to link customers closely to the company, and provide instant assistance for our global customers. In recent years, LCM has been concentrating on its global services and offices – especially to adopt a localization strategy in order to observe the markets true demands. The company’s Thailand office, which established in 2015 has been quite successful, receiving growth on order by more than 60% since 2015 in response to the subsidiary for Tsunami relief. Thus, the company still needs to inspect their operation on a longer scale, while putting more effort to link the Southeast Asian automotive sector with LCM’s manufacturing capacity. At the other side of the Pacific Ocean, LCM’s global service center in the U.S. has been steadily operating. From 2017-2020, LCM has been investing more in China, Russia, India and Japan, to promote their latest products – Servo mechanical tandem line. At TIMTOS 2021, the company welcomes all buyers to their booth for further inquiries.

LCM is involved in industries such as, automotive, energy, electronics, home appliances, construction, composite materials, military, labs, green electric scooters, bicycles, etc. for the past 75 years. LCM will continue making steady strides to the future, and serve our customers with more groundbreaking technologies and top class hydraulic presses.
