New entry regulation for international visitors to enter Taiwan

Starting February 7, 2020, Taiwan will implement entry restrictions and visa control measures on foreign nationals who have visited or resided in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in the previous 14 days. For more info: https://www.boca.gov.tw/cp-220-5066-f6991-2.html

International visitors seeking to enter Taiwan may apply for an entry visa as long as they have not visited or resided in areas in China severely affected by the novel coronavirus outbreak. As of today, Feb 5, the latest report states that the number of total confirmed cases in China (including Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR) is 23,646, followed by Thailand (25), Singapore (24), Japan (23), Republic of Korea (18), Australia (12), Germany (12) United States of American (11), Taiwan (11), Malaysia (10), and Vietnam (10).
