TAITRA takes full measures to safeguard event and exhibition participants

As of Thursday Feb 7, the latest report states that the number of total confirmed cases in China (including Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR) is 31,265, followed by Japan (86), Singapore (30), Thailand (25), Republic of Korea (24), Taiwan (16), Australia (15), Malaysia (15), Germany (13) United States of American (12), and Vietnam (12).

Taiwan announced 3 more imported cases of the novel coronavirus infection in the evening on February 6. As of writing, a total of 16 confirmed cases have been reported in Taiwan. 1 patient was discharged from the hospital having fully recovered yesterday. The rest are recovering well and are in stable conditions.

TAITRA is engaging in full and stringent compliance with international health and safety regulations to operate exhibitions and meeting venues. For venues including World Trade Center Hall 1, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Hall 1 & Hall 2 and Taipei International Conference Center (TICC), TAITRA is enforcing full measures to ensure hygiene and sanitation. All visitors are advised to wear masks and required to be checked for signs of fever with infrared temperature sensors and forehead thermometers. In addition, medical staff are stationed on each floor of the exhibition hall and hand sanitizers are available in public areas.

Given the ongoing development of the outbreak, TAITRA is actively monitoring the situation to implement any and all necessary contingency plans to ensure the health and safety of all visitors and exhibitors of all events.
