Fastener Taiwan 2023 Take action for carbon health checks!

In order to achieve sustainable development goals, a carbon health check is a necessary and important step for enterprises. Today's society is increasingly concerned about environmental issues, particularly climate change, and enterprises play an important role in addressing them. Through carbon health checks, enterprises can gain a deeper understanding of their carbon emissions, identify opportunities and methods for reducing emissions, and establish a more competitive green brand image.

TAITRA has partnered with the Metal Industries Research & Development Center (MIRDC)to provide carbon health check services for enterprises during Taiwan Int’l Fastener Show. Interested parties are welcome to inquire at the MIRDC’s booth (booth number: N2547) during the exhibition period.

Carbon emissions inventory process:

• Following the ISO 14064-1 standard, establish an emissions inventory team, define organizational and reporting boundaries, select a base year, quantify emissions by source category, create a greenhouse gas inventory list, manage data quality, document procedures, and produce a greenhouse gas inventory report to understand the carbon emissions status within the organization.
• Conduct third-party verification to ensure that all stages present objective facts that truly reflect disclosure purposes, accuracy, and completeness, to serve as a basis for public reporting, regulatory requirements, and preparation for transactions.
• Based on the inventory results, introduce specific plans such as equipment replacement and energy-saving systems.
