TaipeiPLAS 2022 welcomes international attendees back in person

The physical TaipeiPLAS 2022 will be held at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 from September 27 to October 1 in conjunction with ShoeTech Taipei. This year, TaipeiPLAS will accommodate 300 exhibitors in 1,300 booths, hailed as an outstanding flagship trade show of the year in Asia for the plastics, rubber and shoemaking industry.

The organizer TAITRA, its branch offices around the world and the overseas offices of Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs are going all out to invite foreign agents, professionals and industry associations to visit TaipeiPLAS 2022. So far, buyers from Hungary, Turkey, the US, South Africa, Indonesia, Dubai and Algeria have confirmed their business trips to TaipeiPLAS 2022, according to TAITRA. As of the beginning of August, the show’s total number of visitor registration has exceeded 600, which is an encouraging indicator of the recovery of both the MICE industry and the plastics & rubber industry in Taiwan after the outbreak of the pandemic.

Starting from June, TAITRA has launched pre-show monthly theme-based campaigns to highlight the coming TaipeiPLAS. Following the theme "Smart Manufacturing" in June and "Innovative Application" in July, the finale “Sustainability” in August lays emphasis on the ESG challenges for the manufacturing industry. Given that, the show is expected to showcase those manufactures’ commitment to the circular economy.

Among high-profile exhibitors, "KING NEWTON" will demonstrate their latest applications in BSR (Biodegradable Starch Resin), which is a 100% fully biodegradable starch resin raw material. Compared with the existing non-compostable or semi-biodegradable plastic materials in the market, BSR is considered as an eco-friendly choice. “RebornPlas” is a pioneer in recycling nylon waste to produce recycled pellets. With continuous dedication to R&D of recycled nylon materials, RebornPlas is the first Taiwan company to acquire the UL2809 Ocean Plastic Content Certification. As the circular economy trends is shaping the future of manufacturing, “POLYSTAR” and “YE I” are also receiving increasing orders from their plastic recycling machines.

In addition, the "Innovation in Plastics" organized by the Plastics Industry Development Center (PIDC) will gather 10 leading chemical material companies to present the environmentally friendly materials and circular economy solutions. The exhibitors include major domestic polyethylene supplier "USI Corporation," the chemical giant "Taiwan Henkel," an expert in recycling semiconductor waste silicon slurry "Semisils," a dynamic player in specialty chemical applications "Chitec," the Asia's #1 supplier of synthetic resin "Eternal Materials, "a leader in polymer additive "Milliken," and one of the three largest PVC resin manufacturers in Taiwan "China General Plastics Corporation." More innovative solutions and next-gen materials to promote the circular economy can be found at this year’s TaipeiPLAS.

"Sustainability Forum" will take center stage on September 28, the second show day of TaipeiPLAS 2022. The speakers from Siemens, BASF, FKI, FCS, LCY Chemical, Dow Chemical, etc., will share their insights and successful experiences on processing processes, new materials research, and more possibilities in application. The registration for the forum will be open in mid-August.
