Do you know how to turn black polluted water into blue water? The recycling and reuse of water resource has always been at the forefront of national development issues. In recent years, governments all over the world have turned their attention to build large hydraulic infrastructures such as water recycling plants and wastewater treatment plants to reclaim and reuse domestic wastewater. According to statistics, 10 thousand tons of regenerated water or reclaimed water is enough to satisfy the need of 40 thousand people.

Therefore, since 2013, the Taiwanese government has invested NT$17 billion (approximately US$570 million) in building 11 water treatment plants in Taiwan, which are expected to be completed by 2026 to provide 334 thousand tons of regenerated water per day subsequently.

To further utilize water resource and reduce losses during the process of water transport and distribution, Taipei Water Department (TWD) proposed a long-term water loss management plan with a budget of NT$23 billion (approximately US$780 million) for the maintenance and management of water pipelines. The goal is to reduce water loss via pipelines from 17% in 2015 to under 10% in 2025.

The attention to hydraulic infrastructure development and sustainable water policies indicates the increasing needs for equipment, technologies and solutions in water reclamation, transport, and storage for both domestic or industrial use. We welcome suppliers all over the world to share the innovation and smart solutions for the booming "blue water" business in Taiwan.

Exhibit in TIWW to Exploit Abundant Business Opportunities in Water Reuse and Water Transport

TIWW is the only water related professional B2B exhibition in Taiwan. It provides the most extensive and cutting-edge water resource products, technologies, and solutions in the water industry. This excellent and diverse platform assists suppliers globally in entering the fast-growing water resource markets in Taiwan and Asian countries, where you can connect with business partners and approach target audiences.

In response to global trends and demands, this e-letter will address topics in water treatment, water regeneration, and water transport, and will focus on the exhibitors specializing in minimizing water loss during the water transport and optimizing wastewater treatment and reclamation systems.

Here are 5 highlighted exhibitors from the "Reclaimed Water & Treatment" and "Transport & Storage" areas of TIWW 2022, showcasing Taiwan’s competitiveness and capability in water management field.

Reclaimed Water & Treatment:
  • Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI):an active participant in developing digital water technology, carbon reduction, and circular economy. ITRI aims to fight against water shortage in Taiwan and pursue Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in full force.
  • EnviroLink Corporation:the company offers solutions from water management and maintenance, wastewater recycling and reclamation, to professional water purification plants, seawater desalination plants and large mobile water treatment equipment.
  • Fullerton Technology:a supplier is dedicated to producing water purification equipment and technology for industrial water use, industrial wastewater, municipal wastewater, seawater desalination, RO pre-filtration, rainwater harvesting and recycling, as well as surface water purification.
Transport & Storage:
  • Astech Valve Corporation:a professional supplier provides non-slam check valve and ball check valve. The array of its industrial check valves is applied widely in waterways, semiconductor industry, petroleum industry, naval architecture and shipbuilding.
  • Escort Seal Company:the company specializes in manufacturing rubber-plastic and metal-bonded O-Ring products, which are widely used in fluid static application.

TIWW will take place October 13-15, 2022 at Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Exhibition Hall 1. One of the co-organizers of the show, Water Resources Agency (WRA), MOEA, will organize a water resource pavilion to showcase Taiwan's distinguished water solutions and host an international water forum for participants to explore the latest industry trends in Taiwan and the world. Come and meet government authorities and industry leaders face to face, find strategy partners, and showcase your solutions to visitors worldwide.
