About

National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) is an internationally renowned independent organization founded in 1944, committed to promoting public health and safety. It offers professional and tailored testing services and provides scientific and innovative certification solutions to assist clients in meeting global trade standards for safety, quality, integrity, and regulatory compliance.

In order to better serve customers in Asia, NSF established NSF Shanghai Co., Ltd. in 2005 and NSF Shanghai Testing Technology Company in 2011. The latter is an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. These entities serve as NSF's operational hubs in China, ensuring efficient support and services for customers throughout the region.

Brief Introduction of the Products
  • Drinking Water Treatment/Filtration

    A drinking water treatment system is a water treatment device that includes both point-of-use (POU) and point-of-entry (POE) units, such as reverse osmosis (RO), water dispensers, filtration systems, water pitchers, etc. These systems comply with various standards, including NSF/ANSI 42, NSF P231, P477, NSF/JWPA P72, and CSA B483.1.

    Features:

    2. Testing includes assessments for material safety, structural integrity, and reduction of contaminants
    3. Contaminant reduction claims can be provided
  • Plumbing System Components

    This product comprises plastic pipes and fittings, as well as mechanical plumbing devices such as faucets, valves, and connectors, in compliance with standards including NSF/ANSI 14, 61-Section 9, NSF/ANSI/CAN 372, UPC®, IPC®, ASTM, ASSE, and ASME.

  • Municipal Water Systems and Products

    NSF/ANSI/CAN 60 - Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 - Drinking Water Systems Components are global health standards. They cover treatment chemicals & system components used in the entire drinking water process. Also, they are current national standards in the US (ANSI, 1989) and Canada (SCC, 2019).
