The Functional Water Association of Taiwan was established to integrate industry resources and experts, set water quality standards, and ensure safe drinking water for the Taiwanese population.

The global demand for water purification equipment has been on the rise. However, Taiwan lacked a certification mechanism for consumers to assess water quality. Therefore, the association actively promotes the WT (Water Taiwan) certification regulations, allowing consumers to use QR codes on product labels to verify water quality and provide reliable assurance.

Furthermore, the association assists its members in expanding internationally by organizing trade shows and encouraging participation in exhibitions worldwide, in order to enhances their international exposure. The association has already participated in trade shows in numerous countries such as India, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, and the Netherlands, helping members align with the international market.
