Water Scarcity Is No More Threat in A Sustainable Environment with New Water Resource
CTCI Group - Fengshan River Wastewater Reclamation Unit in Kaohsiung

It has never been easy to conserve or distribute water in a mountainous region like Taiwan. Extreme weather made the matter even worse. In 2021, the worst drought in a century hit Taiwan and caused great damage. If it were not for the collaborative effort of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the industry and the private sector, Taiwan would not be able to overcome the challenge. As a result, new water resource has since become a prominent issue. Many companies turned their attention to seawater desalination and reclaimed water. As both water resources are easily accessible in the future, we will be able to prevent water shortage in industrial and domestic water use with the advanced water treatment technology.

Rih Ding Water Enterprise Co., Ltd

In the upcoming TIWW this October, water technology is one of the three themes chosen for the WRA pavilion. This pavilion presents the works and discoveries of the industry, the academia, and the research institutes. Not long ago CTCI Group and RIH DING Water Enterprise won the bid for the Northern District of Taoyuan Water Treatment Center BOT project. Both companies demonstrated great potential in the application of water reclamation technology, water treatment plants, and surrounding facilities. Their accomplishment relieved the pressure on current water supply. Moreover, CTCI, the company building the Fongshan River Water Reclamation Center, will exhibit the plan of wastewater treatment plant and reclaimed water BTO project in Kaohsiung through joining forces with Continental Holdings Corporation, turning wastewater into a small urban water reservoir to alleviate water shortage for the industrial zone. RIH DING Water Enterprise will also showcase their advances in wastewater treatment technologies and services such as Membrane Bioreactors (MBR) and BioNet. And Hui min Environmental Tech is about to build seawater desalination plants in Taiwan which can produce 10 thousand tons of usable water on a daily basis. This is a testament to their hard work over the years. As Taiwan is surrounded by water, finding the optimal solution to turn seawater into available water resource should be top priority and the most satisfying approach available.

Kmate Filtration - AFM (Activated Filter Media) filter

Kmate Filtration offers a variety of filters including AFM (Activated Filter Media) filter and AMIAD stainless steel filter. Clients can choose whichever filter fits for the purpose, then use it for industrial wastewater, surface water, municipal wastewater, seawater desalination, or rainwater harvesting. Furthermore, the up-to-date Ginger Water Processing Technology fog-making seawater desalination system (FMSD) substitutes distillation with fog-making technique to turn brine and salt spray into available water resource.

National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University - Environmental Technology & Smart System Research Center has been dedicated to promoting professional knowledge and encouraging R&D attempts to seek answers for present challenges. The center will reveal their latest technological breakthrough such as the reusable catalytic oxidative activated carbon and the application of nickel foam effective electrode to visitors. Water Innovation, Low-Carbon and Environmental Sustainability Research Center (WInnER), National Taiwan University plans to showcase Capacitive Deionization (CDI) this year. This technology manages to purify water while storing energy. Another novel approach is the application of Membrane Bioreactors (MBR) to transmit membrane oxygenation.

Over the years, EVER-CLEAR has achieved great result in membrane separation technology, electrodialysis reversal treatment, and other similar wastewater treatment technologies. The Environment and Development Foundation has been running the Industrial Water Supply Efficiency Improvement Plan commissioned by the Industrial Development Bureau since 2013 under the guidance of the Environmental Protection Administration. The plan has already helped close to 700 suppliers. The comprehensive approach adopted and the final results will also be the highlight of this year's exhibition.

Demand is a prominent drive for technological development. TIWW 2022 is the most accessible platform to promote exchange of experience and ideas within the country and, at the same time, allow overseas buyers to learn more about the latest technologies proposed by suppliers in Taiwan.
